Το τσάι MACHA ή αλλιώς η μαγεία της Ιαπωνίας αποτελεί το πιο δημοφιλές πράσινο τσάι στον κόσμο.
Μάτσα σημαίνει τσάι σε σκόνη. Περιέχει 135 φορές περισσότερα αντιοξειδωτικά από ένα απλό πράσινο τσάι και αυτό συμβαίνει επειδή καταναλώνουμε όλο το φύλλο του τσαγιού και όχι μόνο το αφέψημα. Αντίθετα από το πράσινο τσάι, στο τσάι μάτσα τα φύλλα του φυτού, πριν τη συγκομιδή, σκιάζονται και η αλλαγή αυτή στο φως του ήλιου, ανεβάζει τα επίπεδα χλωροφύλλης που είναι πλούσια σε θρεπτικά στοιχεία.
Μόλις μαζευτούν, τα φύλλα ατμίζονται για να σταματήσει η ζύμωση που θα μείωνε τα στοιχεία αυτά. Αφού στεγνώσουν, αλέθονται με πέτρες και μας δίνουν μια έντονα πράσινη σκόνη.
