The Malothra  also known as White Mountain Tea or goodwill the healing herb of the famous Crete.

The White Mountain tea was a traditional breakfast drink for residents of Western Crete and a medicinal herb against colds, stomach ailments and respiratory ailments. It works against osteoporosis and cancer.
It is used not only as an excellent decoction in aroma and taste, but also for the treatment or prevention of many diseases. Finally, it is believed to be beneficial for the blood vessels of the heart.

Malothra acts as an anti-inflammatory, bacteriostatic, antioxidant, antimicrobial, chewable, perspiring, tonic, anti-irritant, anti-anemic, heating, diuretic and detoxifying.

Adding to the beverage of cinnamon sticks and honey we have an excellent softener and antiseptic for cough.

Prepared as a tea. Boil for about 4 minutes and combine perfectly with the marjoram.

In its essential oil, 34 substances with various, mainly antimicrobial properties, have been isolated.
According to one version, the name maletira comes from the Italian words male (disease) and tirare (drag, expel), expressing its healing properties. Alternatively, it is considered that the word derives from the word woolly = haired because of its fluffy leaves.
