ROSEMARY – THE PLANT
Scientific name: Rosmarinus Officinalis. Description: Very aromatic evergreen shrub, height up to 2 m., of the Lamiaceae family. Honey-producing plant preferred by bees. It is also known as ros marinus (sea dew) or salvia. Origins: Mediterranean zones. History: For centuries it was used for cooking as well as popular medicine.
ROSEMARY – “BIOLOGOS” ESSENTIAL OIL
Technique: Extracted from the flowers at the top of the plant, through steam distillation. Scent: Intense, woody, similar to that of camphor and colour ochre or colourless. Country: Morocco.
QUALITIES
Analgesic, antiseptic, anti-bacterial, relaxant, warming, rejuvenating.
USES
Cough, cold, bronchitis, runny nose, , κρυολόγημα, βρογχίτιδα, καταρροή, disorders of the digestive system (flatulence, indigestion), ulcerated wounds in the mouth (gargling). As a warming and relaxing agent, it is effective in massage for muscle pain, sciatica, neuralgia, prevention of cramps and injuries. Combined with Lavender essential oil, it is ideal for massage for athletes. It aids memory and strengthens the nervous system. Widespread in hair care, against dandruff (with cold water and borax) and as a stimulant for hair follicles in case of early hair loss. It fights against acne and skin oiliness. In aromatherapy it is linked with boosting positivity and concentration.

With essential oils of Grapefruit, Geranium, Basil, Ginger, Cedar, Spearmint.
